Phuket Beach Life is one of three coastal festival weekends

Phuket Beach Life 2026 brings a free three-day mix of stand-up paddleboarding, music, food and beach culture to Loma Park beside Patong Beach from 30 October to 1 November. It is the Phuket stop in the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Amazing Multi-Racing Festival series, with activities for spectators as well as people interested in getting on the water.

Dates and setting

The festival runs from Friday 30 October through Sunday 1 November at Loma Park on Patong Beach. Entry is free. The official announcement does not yet provide a complete day-by-day public timetable, so check the organiser’s latest update before planning around a particular performance or sports session.

Loma Park sits at the northern side of central Patong’s beachfront. It is walkable from many Patong hotels, but roads become slow when a major event overlaps with ordinary evening traffic. Travellers staying elsewhere in Phuket should leave more time than the map distance suggests.

SUP and beach activity

Stand-up paddleboarding is the sporting centre of the weekend, with competition and opportunities to encounter newer beach activities. Registration rules, equipment provision and experience requirements should be confirmed with the official event channel. Free entry to the festival does not automatically mean every sports slot is open without advance registration.

Wear secure swimwear, sun protection and footwear suitable for hot sand and wet ground. Beginners should follow instructors, use a personal flotation device when directed and stay inside the marked area. Sea conditions take priority over a published programme. If officials pause activity because of wind, lightning or waves, wait for clearance.

Music line-up

The announced Phuket artists include The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band, Maiyarap, Tontrakul, Whal & Dolph, Indigo and Getsunova. Local musicians and DJs are also part of the wider concept. Performance times may be released closer to the weekend, and the running order should not be inferred from Songkhla or Hua Hin.

Outdoor sound carries, but a large crowd can still make a favourite set difficult to see. Arrive early for the artist that matters most, agree on a meeting point and protect hearing near speakers. Keep walkways open instead of stopping in the main flow to record long videos.

Food and shopping

TAT describes a food zone with local flavours, plus fashion, beach items, workshops and cultural activity. Carry a reusable bag and some cash alongside electronic payment options, because small vendors may use different systems. Ask about allergens and ingredients rather than assuming a familiar-looking dish is safe.

The event also promotes responsible travel and beach clean-up activity. Use the bins provided, refuse unnecessary single-use items and keep food away from the waterline. A festival beside the sea makes the impact of loose cups and packaging immediately visible.

Weather planning

Late October sits near Phuket’s transition toward the drier season, but rain, heat and rough water remain possible. Pack a light rain layer, quick-drying clothing, sunscreen and a refillable bottle. Waterproof essential electronics rather than trusting a thin shopping bag.

Check the Thai Meteorological Department forecast and local marine advice on the day. A shower may only change the timing, while lightning or unsafe surf can cancel water activity. Build the trip around Patong and Phuket more broadly so a programme change does not erase the entire day.

Getting there

Walking from a central Patong hotel is often simplest. If arriving by taxi or ride-hailing, set a pickup point away from the most crowded beachfront section and expect delays after headline performances. Photograph the meeting point or save it in the map app before mobile networks become busy.

Driving requires a realistic parking plan. Do not circle Loma Park expecting an empty roadside space during peak hours. Use legal parking, allow time to walk and never leave valuables visible in a vehicle. Families should write a contact number for children and identify event staff on arrival.

Build the weekend

A balanced day might begin with beach or SUP activity before the strongest sun, pause for food and shade, then return for evening music. Avoid carrying wet gear through a dense concert crowd. A nearby hotel or locker plan makes it easier to change and reset.

Free entry makes it tempting to arrive without a plan, but three priorities are enough: one sport element, one food or workshop stop and one music set. Check official updates for times, respect safety calls and leave the beach cleaner than you found it.

Plan the details

Families should identify shade, toilets and an exit route before joining the busiest area. Write a guardian’s phone number on a child’s wristband or card, and show children what event staff look like. The beach adds water, crowds and darkness to the usual festival risks, so active supervision matters even when the atmosphere feels relaxed.

If staying outside Patong, avoid scheduling an early airport departure immediately after a headline set. Event traffic can slow the beachfront and the route north, while rain magnifies delays. A flexible final evening or a Patong-area stay removes pressure and makes it easier to leave when the group is ready.
